Our mission remains clear: launch 200 businesses by 2032, creating 5,000 jobs and generating $3B GDP impact. This year, we supported New Canadians, first-time entrepreneurs, SMBs, and startups with practical guidance, stronger funding pathways, and the right connections to make real progress. The common thread across everything we did in 2025 was focus: fewer distractions, clearer steps, and more execution. |

Over the past year, Catapult supported 449 founders and businesses across Calgary, Alberta, and Canada, providing hands-on guidance and helping founders navigate the ecosystem with greater clarity and confidence. Through focused execution support and the right external connections at the right time, we helped launch four new startups and scale two existing businesses, turning ideas into action and momentum into measurable progress.
Our programming reached 260 participants across 11 events and workshops, all designed around practical, founder-relevant topics that drive real outcomes. We also advanced meaningful capital results, including supporting one startup in securing $2.5 million in investment, and helping five startups obtain $100,000 in IP funding, strengthening defensibility and long-term value creation.
Throughout the year, we sharpened our sector focus on manufacturing, agriculture, and growth-oriented SMBs—prioritizing businesses with strong fundamentals and clear paths to scale. We streamlined our intake and delivery model into a single, clear founder pathway, making it easier to get started and faster to gain traction. At the same time, we deepened high-impact relationships across the ecosystem, including expanding partnerships with investors in Japan and across Asia, helping build stronger bridges between Alberta businesses and global markets. |

 | As we look ahead, Catapult is focused on turning momentum into measurable impact. Our priority is to support more founders with clearer execution plans and faster paths to results, particularly in manufacturing, agriculture, and growth-oriented small and medium-sized businesses where real commercialization potential exists.
We will continue to expand global market pathways by deepening relationships with investors and partners in Japan and across Asia, ensuring these connections translate into practical, revenue-driven opportunities. Building on the capital outcomes achieved in 2025, we’re also strengthening our funding-readiness support to help more founders secure the right type of capital at the right stage of growth.
At the same time, we remain committed to delivering high-quality events and workshops with measurable outcomes, from stronger founder pipelines to meaningful milestones. With ElevateIP extended for another three years, we’re entering an exciting next chapter and will share more as program details are finalized. Underpinning it all is a continued focus on refining our operating model, so founders experience a simpler, more consistent journey from first contact to real progress. | | |
