Thursday March 12th, 2026  |  1:00 PM MST  |  $25.00 CAD
Complimentary ticket code: VIDEOGAMEVIP2026

The video game industry is more than creativity and code — it is a business built on attention, distribution, and intellectual property. This webinar delivers a practical, founder-focused breakdown of the business and legal realities of building video games in Canada.

Attendees will gain clarity on:

  • How modern video games are marketed, monetized, and scaled
  • The role of platforms, publishers, creators, and communities in determining success
  • Why IP ownership and early business decisions matter more than most founders realise
  • Key legal considerations around copyright, trademarks, monetization, and creators — without legal jargon

Designed for developers, founders, creators, and entrepreneurs who want to move beyond hobby projects and understand the real economics of the game industry.

Growth by Design: Network, Tech, Execute

Organized by Catapult Startups and Lethbridge Polytechnic  |  Feb 3, 4pm–6pm MST

At our latest event, the focus was on making networking more strategic and more useful — turning conversations into outcomes through clarity, simple systems, and value-based communication.

Key takeaways:

  • MAP framework (Mission, Action, Proof): Show up with a clear goal, make a specific ask, and share one credibility story.
  • Minimum viable tech stack: CRM (relationships), calendar and tasks (execution), shared templates (knowledge), and small automations to reduce friction and stay consistent.
  • Communicate value, not features: Value = Outcome × Confidence ÷ Friction. Make the outcome clear, prove you can deliver, and make the next step easy.

Clarity drives momentum. When you know who you are trying to help, what outcome you deliver, and the next step you want — networking becomes a growth tool, not just a social activity.
